FIELD: thermal engineering; steam generators of power units where steam temperature should be maintained at rated level. SUBSTANCE: desuperheater has steam piping, water supply header 3 provided with inner jacket and sprayer 4 at end, and bottom 6; the latter is of varying-section conical shape with inner channel whose wall is tightly joined with header 3 to form heat-transfer surface 11. Desuperheater is designed so that temperature difference at weld 10 is reduced to level at which thermal stress does not exceed permissible values. EFFECT: improved reliability of desuperheater. 2 dwg
