FIELD: fuel elements of nuclear reactors. SUBSTANCE: to heat transferring lead alloy arranged in spacing between fuel and envelope inhibiting additive is being introduced. That additive forms at operational temperature upon interaction with metallic fuel protective coating on fuel core. The above mentioned inhibiting additive includes aluminium in quantity 0.1-2.0 at %, nickel in quantity 0.5-3.0 at %, sulfur in quantity 0.01-1.0 at %, tin in quantity 5.0-10.0 at % and (or) antimonium in quantity 0.2-10.0 at %. Envelope is made from YA-group metal based alloy mainly from vanadium and (or) niobium based alloy. EFFECT: improved design of fuel element. 1 cl, 1 dwg
