FIELD: domestic furniture. SUBSTANCE: bed has frame and supporting legs which are interconnected through eccentric brackets and pins. Shock-absorbers mounted on legs have power springs, positioned within hollow ring and supported by spherical supports, and balls positioned between spring and stop. Longitudinal slot extending along a quarter of outer diameter of ring is adapted for receiving retainer. When bed is transformed, retainer is movable along slot and spring force is changed in direct proportion to bed weight. As a result, bed is balanced along the whole path of movement. Bed is fixed in vertical position by moment created due to shift of gravitational center axis of bed relative to axis of rotation of bed and is further fixed by threaded pin inserted into retainer opening. EFFECT: simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 dwg
