METHOD FOR OIL DEHYDRATION Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

Abstract RU 2067492 C1

FIELD: preparation of oil; applicable in oil producing and processing industries for increase of rate and depth of separation of water-oil emulsions with the help of demulsifier. SUBSTANCE: method for oil dehydration is based on use of demulsifier with increased activity due to the effect of geomagnetic field modulated by weak high-frequency resonance in amplitude and frequency field, in the force field of surface layer of nonmagnetic and chemically inert solid material. The virtue of the offered method consists in that subjected to the action of magnetic field in only demulsifier introduced into emulsion instead of the entire volume of water-oil emulsion, which exceeds the volume of demulsifier by the factor of 40-50 thousand. This results in reduced overall dimensions of magnetizing devices and consumed power. Power expenditures are also reduced due to application of low intensity resonance magnetic fields instead of high intensity. The offered method allows increase of the rate and depth of separation of oil-water emulsions by several times at invariable concentration of demulsifier or attainment of 2-3-fold decrease of demulsifier concentration without reduction of the rate and depth of oil dehydration. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 dwg
