FIELD: biotechnology, food industry. SUBSTANCE: coniferous tree bark is wetted, milled, extracted with condensed carbon dioxide under increased pressure and room temperature. Extract is separated for fatty and aqueous fractions. Aqueous fraction is extracted with chloroform and chloroform extract is distilled off and maltal-raw is obtained. The latter is purified by sublimation. Product is used as aromatic substance, food flavor used in confectionery articles and fruit juices. EFFECT: improved method of processing. 2 cl
