FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: drill has stalk 1 made up as a shaped pipe whose wall is formed by two flat parts inclined to each other in the longitudinal direction over the length of the stalk and non-flat part between the outer side edges of the flat parts. The inner space of stalk 1 forms passageway 2 for supplying a cutting fluid to the cutting zone. The working end of stalk 1 is provided with cutting plate 3 and guide plates 4,5. The drill is provided with trancated segment insert 6 received in passageway 2 of stalk 1 from the side of the working end of the drill and connected to the inner surfaces of the flat and non-flat parts of the wall of stalk 1. Cutting plate 3 is mounted at the distant end part of the flat part of the wall of stalk 1 and immediately rigidly connected with the trancated segment insert 6 over the whole area of their contact surface.
