FURNACE FOR SAUNA Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: sauna furnaces at simultaneous production of hot water and steam. SUBSTANCE: furnace has chamber with guard, chamber for loading heat-accumulating elements, mainly stones, gas duct and water tank connected with heat exchange element. Part of gas duct is made in form of vertical passage, from pipe, for example, whose open end is secured in upper wall of furnace chamber; open upper end is provided with bearing flange for mounting and securing the water tank; pipe is also provided with side branch pipe for mounting and securing the water tank and side branch pipe for discharge of gases. Heat exchange element is secured in tank bottom and is arranged in above-mentioned passage. Heat exchange element may be made of two coaxial pipes; external pipe is secured in hole provided in tank bottom on the outside and is provided with outer fins in form of radial rods; inner pipe is of L-shaped form; it is provided with spacer elements over part of it. Inner pipe is located inside outer pipe and its horizontal section freely rests against tank bottom. When use is made of V-shaped heat exchange element, one of its branches shall be provided with outer fins in form of radial rods. Heat exchange element may be made in form of stack of rods of sufficient length (within vertical passage of gas duct) secured on tank bottom (on its outside) at equidistant spacing. Furnace is also provided with shield made in form of plate secured inside furnace chamber at definite distance from its upper wall at equal clearance between its edges and side walls of chamber and provided with at least one hole in its center portion.
