SUBSTANCE: articulated on end ribs of oscillating rectangular rigid wing at point of maximum thickness of profile are additional small wigs which are geometrically similar to main wing; small wings may turn relative to plane of main wing through an angle up to 700 deg to either side opposite to direction of lateral motion of wing during one half-period of oscillations. EFFECT: improved service characteristics of fin propeller due to enhanced hydrodynamic efficiency of wing during each half-period of wing oscillations. 5 dwg
