FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: grooves are made on the housing of a bearing with a cutter. The cross- section of the grooves should be decreased in the direction to the surface of the housing. Each groove is defined by intersection of two hollows on the outer side of the housing. Both of the hollows are inclined to the opposite direction with respect to the axis of symmetry of the cross-section of a groove. A polymeric layer is then applied to the housing.
