FIELD: construction and repair of underground and underwater pipelines. SUBSTANCE: multi-layer tape has outer made of composite material, adhesive layer, layer of plastic carrier film and adhesive layer which is in contact with pipeline. Layer of primer is additionally applied on outer layer. Method of manufacture of multi-layer tape consists in connecting several layers under cold or hot conditions, passing the cloth between pressure rollers and cutting the cloth into tapes. Method of repair and strengthening of worn hollow casings subjected to pressure consists in winding the tape which is in taut state on casings at overlapping at subsequent reduction of tape tension to zero.
