SUBSTANCE: the turret traversing mechanism has a worm reduction gear enclosed in a case and kinematically linked with the turret ring gear, electric motor or hand drive engaging gear enclosed in a case. The turret traversing mechanism is furnished with two additional reduction gears, whose case is made in the form of a bowl with a hollow radial flange and secured on the cases of the engaging gear and reduction gear and installed between them. Installation of the additional reduction gears in the bowl-shaped case with the radial flange made it possible to bring the mechanism hand drive to the operator's working zone, to the place that is most convenient for use.
