FIELD: technical facilities for rehabilitation of disabled by eyesight, the guide allows them to travel independently on an unknown country; it allows the blind to independently orient himself on an unknown country and obtain information on distance to the detected object and identify it. SUBSTANCE: the device uses optics with employment of the Fresnel profile and laser emitter. The detector is made in the form of a six-photodetector rule that is matched in length with the optical axis. The device is furnished with a magnetic compass, whose scale is indicated by acoustic vibrations. The signal from each photodetector is coded by a code of its own and filled with audio frequency determined by the position of the magnetic needle. The logarithmic unit controls the volume of acoustic codes depending on the reflectivity of the obstacle objects. The device may be provided with an acoustic pedometer. EFFECT: enhanced convenience for use. 3 dwg
