FIELD: natural gas industry, petroleum industry, petrochemical industry, chemical industry, metallurgy and other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: gas separating device is used for removal of dropping liquid from gas flows. Device has housing, inlet and outlet pipe unions; plate mounted inside housing has holes where gas separating modules are arranged which consist of gauze packing wound in roll around bearing member made in form of branch pipe; gauze packing is also wound in roll around cylindrical surface formed by shaped strips whose lower ends are mounted immovably at angle of 55 to 65 deg relative to upper end portion of branch pipe and lower ends are immovably secured to disk to which upper layer of gauze packing adjoins; lower layer of gauze packing is mounted on perforated circular disk immovably secured to upper portion of branch pipe. Shorter ends of shaped strips have rectangular edge and longer ends have one rectangular edge and one convex edge. Gas separating device is provided with retainer. EFFECT: reduced probability of choking of packing components with fine mechanical admixtures mixed with heavy hydrocarbons and enhanced reliability. 3 cl, 5 dwg
