FIELD: wet cleaning of gases; chemical and heat-and-mass exchange processes in gas-liquid systems in chemical, food-stuffing and other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: device has upper cover 1 inside which inertial drip pan 2 with drain pipes is arranged, vortex chamber 4 with inverted perforated cone 5 and bypass pipes 6 is smoothly arranged over circumference and conical bottom 7 with supply pipe 8. Arranged in lower base of cone is plate 9 for feeding and draining liquid which may be mounted with or without clearance. Upper portion of cone is provided with slots; it projects above end plate of vortex chamber 4. Located above cone is confuser 11 intended for discharge of gas flow to drip pan. Drain pipes are located coaxially inside bypass pipes 6 and are immersed in them forming hydraulic lock. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 cl, 5 dwg
