FIELD: separation of isotopes in plasma. SUBSTANCE: separator has vacuum chamber, plasma source, electron source in form of circular emitter, magnetic system with section of non-uniform magnetic field on which selective heating of ions of selected isotope is effected in plasma at frequency equal to its cyclotron frequency and section of non-uniform magnetic field, HF antenna and collectors for selection of required ion components. To increase degree of separation by masses and to separate number of isotopes more than two in one vacuum cycle, separator has several stages. Each stage of separator has sections of uniform and non-uniform magnetic fields. Section of non-uniform magnetic field includes even number of lengths of toroidal solenoids with curvature alternating in sign. Ion collectors are movable and are located between toroidal solenoids and at outlet of each stage. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 1 dwg
