Abstract RU 2278725 C2

FIELD: separation of isotopes of elements free of gaseous compositions.

SUBSTANCE: device has vacuum chamber 1 placed in magnetic field generated by solenoid 2. There is unit for transporting microwave radiation into microwave discharge area, high-frequency aerial 8 and collector system in vacuum chamber 1. Unit for transporting microwave radiation has waveguide 5 connected with microwave generator 4 and mirror 6. Matter to be separated is disposed into containers 13 made of high-melting material. Containers have output hole disposed in necks of containers. Containers 13 are mounted in holes of metal plate 3 and are surrounded by heaters and thermal screens. Collector system has enriched material collector, screens 11 and oval-shaped plate 12. Enriched material collector can be made of non-continuous or continuous plates 10 or in form of hollow step-shaped cylinder. Plates have width L1. They are disposed at distance L2 from each other in rows at distance L3. L1, L2 and L3 are equal to average Larmor diameter of resonant ions. Height S of steps of hollow step-shaped cylinder is chosen to be equal or smaller than Larmor radius of heated ion. Plates 10 or steps can be shifted relatively each other along axis of vacuum chamber 1 for distance L4 which is approximately equal to pitch of spiral of ion's trajectory.

EFFECT: reduced losses of target isotope; improved coefficient of separation; reduced energy losses; continuity of process.
