FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines with opposite cylinders; automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: internal combustion engine has housing inside which cylindrical working chamber is made where piston is mounted for axial motion. Fuel inlet and exhaust hole are provided in wall of chamber. Piston is connected with flywheel through slide block, guide and closed groove; flywheel is kinematically linked with output shaft. Flywheel is located coaxially relative to cylindrical working chamber. Provided along axis of flywheel is through hole which receives coaxially slide block for axial displacement. Groove is made on outer lateral surface of slide block. Guide is fitted between slide block and flywheel. One part of guide is connected with flywheel and other part is fitted in closed helical groove. EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions, enhanced reliability, high smoothness of torque on output shaft and enhanced efficiency. 6 cl, 1 dwg
