FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: water is injected into cylinder through unit injector during working stroke of piston and steam is exhausted together with exhaust gases. Circular flow of water is formed along inner wall of cylinder, water vapors being isolated from air/fuel mixture are cooled to temperature lower than boiling temperature in heat exchanger and water, thus obtained, is filtered and directed to unit injector for subsequent injection into engine cylinders. Design versions of fuel injection device, unit injector and heat exchanger required for implementation of proposed method are described in invention.
