FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: two optical radiation dissipation areas are created by focusing laser radiation at the plane, where beam speed is equal to average speed. Radiation dissipated by the particles is registered by means of two photodetectors at 35 deg angle to axis of focused laser radiation. Pulses of photodetectors are selected which have duration to be correspondent to pre-set sizes of particles. Time is measured during which the particles pass through the basic distance. gas discharge value is determined from the time mentioned before. Method may be efficiently used for measuring gas stream discharge, if the stream has dispersion inclusions of solid particles and water drops. EFFECT: improved precision of measurement. 1 dwg
