FIELD: trimming edges of thin fragile plates made, for example, of silicon, for radio electronic industry, those having base for orienting relative to crystal lattice, and marks made in the form of cut to identify plates and material they are made of; trimming edges of glass plates including those having flat and rounded-off surfaces. SUBSTANCE: device has base, trimming tool mounted on shaft, drive coupled with trimming tool shaft, template with template plate, tracing roller, two-arm lever, and loading device, turntable with plate and template plate fastening device. Tracing roller is mounted for rotation on one of lever arms of template. Loading device is joined with second lever arm. Device is provided with lever-mounted vertical shaft, second two-arm lever mounted on vertical shaft, and loading device of second lever. Trimming tool shaft is mounted for rotation on second lever arm. Loading device is coupled with second lever arm. Trimming device has second-lever travel limiter installed on template lever and provided with adjustable stop. Loading device of second lever is joined with device base.
