FIELD: electronic engineering. SUBSTANCE: edges of thin films having principal cut for positioning relative to crystal lattice and marks made in the form of cuts for identifying the plates are simultaneously processed as follows: each plate is mounted on respective table and all tables are set in rotary motion and displaced simultaneously relative to axes of revolution of finishing tools. Device implementing this method has base, movable platform that mounts revolving tables, and levers with loading units. Finishing tools are mounted on levers and each of them is provided with motor and belt drive. Position of levers relative to movable platform is adjusted by means of stops incorporating adjusting unit. Device may be provided with slave rollers mounted on respective levers and with plate contour followers mounted on revolving tables. EFFECT: improved quality of finished plates and precision of their dimensions, enlarged yield, and improved capacity. 3 cl, 8 dwg
