FIELD: production of high temperature ceramics. SUBSTANCE: initially mixture which contains silicium alkoxide (its quantity being 0.05-0.3 moles per 1 mole of H2O), water, organic solvent (its quantity being 0.3-1 moles per 1 mole of H2O,), carbon-containing material (its quantity being 1-3 moles of carbon per 1 mole of silicium alkoxide) and HCl as acid catalyst is prepared. Acetone is used as mentioned above organic solvent, trialkoxy- or tetralkoxysilane is used as mentioned above silicium alkoxide, polyacrylonitrile resin, epoxy resin, phenol or furan resin is used as mentioned above carbon-containing material. Then thus obtained mixture is hydrolyzed at 50-70 C and is applied on the sublayer by brush. Volatile materials are removed by sustaining at room temperature within at least 24 h. The process is followed by drying at 60 C and by heat treatment at temperature at least 1300 C. At least one protective coating which contains SiO2-TiO2 or SiO2-TiO2,, SiC, SiO2-Al2O3-Li2O or SiO2-Al2O3-Li2O is formed on thus prepared layer of SiC.
