FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for protection of composite parts from oxidation implies application of coating composition, which contains powdered boride mixture (which consists, mainly, of TiB2), powdered glassy temperature-resistant oxides (which consist, mainly, of borosilicate glass), and binder, which contains ceramic composite source resin, and resin structurisation. After structurisation, resin is converted to ceramic material either during heat treatment or when the coated part is exposed to high temperature for the first time. Resulting anti-oxidation coating consists of continuous phase of oxide-free temperature-resistant ceramic material, self-healing phase formed by borosilicate system, and filling agent, which is temperature-resistant boride.
EFFECT: improved protection properties of the coating in moist environment.
