FIELD: off-line power supply for underwater auxiliary hardware. SUBSTANCE: storage battery container is filled with two kinds of liquid: heavier insulating liquid in bottom part is heavier than surrounding water and does not mix up with it; lighter insulating liquid above the former is lighter than storage-battery electrolyte and does not mix up with it. Expansion tank placed above container has port in top part connected via piping to bottom part of container and filled with heavier liquid. Container cover mounts nonreturn valve for gas escape.
