METHOD FOR REHABILITATION OF NEWBORN INFANTS AFFECTED WITH PERINATAL PATHOLOGIES Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, pediatrics. SUBSTANCE: first predominant hemitype of affection is determined. Right-side hemitype is observed in case of pathologies in organs of abdominal cavity, pelvis, lower extremities, right-sided neurological disorders characterized by predominant turn of infant's head to right in position on back. Left-side hemitype is observed in case of pathologies of thorax and thoracic organs, disorders in psychic development, left-sided neurological disorders characterized by predominant turn of head to left in position on back. Infant is subjected to course of procedures by exerting externally applied pain-inflicting action by successively and alternately pressing with fingers with effort sufficient to cause responsible spontaneous strain of muscles in body zones selected depending on localization of pathologic process. Single procedure lasts 1-3 s repeated from 1 to 5 times. Procedures are repeated every other day in total number of 8-12 per treatment source. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
