FILTER-DRYER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: chemical, chemicopharmaceutical and food industries; production of chemicals. SUBSTANCE: cartridge-type filter-dryer has housing with heat exchange jacket closed by cover. Header mounted on cover units output ends of filtering cartridge drain pipes. Side hatch of housing is located at level of lower filtering partition. Sediment remover with floating knives is secured on three rods, minimum, which can be synchronously moved in vertical direction by drive common for rods and stirrer. Floating knives are formed by housing which has inner taper space and cutting portion in form of two-coil spiral. Stirrer has hollow shaft along which suspension to be filtered in fed. Blades of stirrer has replaceable working edge made of soft inert material. Edge has rigidity changing depending on direction of rotation. Spiral blades of stirrer and reversing drive provide discharge of sediment without violation of housing sealing. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 3 cl, 5 dwg
