FIELD: mechanical engineering and metallurgical industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves sequentially forming corrugations adjoining one another by two pairs of strikers, which are reciprocating in opposite directions, and moving billet for distance equal to corrugation width upon each cycle of reciprocating displacement of pairs of strikers; prior to forming first corrugation, fastening front end of billet by clamp, whose side surface is joined to side surface of first pair of strikers and height is equal to corrugation height. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified equipment, reduced dimensions of equipment, improved quality of corrugated products and enhanced reliability in operation. 9 dwg
