FIELD: manufacture of current conducting wire for electric heaters. SUBSTANCE: initial material is obtained in form of ferrite-iron-chromium-aluminium alloy by means of hydride calcium reduction method with subsequent grinding of material to size of particles not exceeding 200 microns, hot forming at temperature of 800-1400 C with summary drawing within 3≅Δ≅ 30, and cold forming by drawing carried out in steps with summary reduction at each step up to 50% with annealing at temperature of 750-1100 C during 0.3 to 3 hrs before each drawing step. Powder is placed for hot forming into shell where Δ - is summary drawing. EFFECT: improved quality of wire. 2 cl
