FIELD: nuclear reactors.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to spacer wire used in nuclear industry, namely in production of fuel assemblies for winding on shells of fuel tubes, and method of its manufacturing. Spacer wire for fuel assemblies of nuclear reactors from austenitic steel grade “06Х16Н15М2Г2ТФР-ИД” has specified distribution of grain structure of metal along section of wire. Surface layer with depth of 0.10-0.15 mm has grain with number 9, 10, and central layers – with number 6, 7.
EFFECT: operational properties of wire used for reactor assemblies in fast neutron installations are improved, in particular, radiation swelling and corrosion cracking are reduced.
