FIELD: glass melting. SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at producing sodium silicate (silicate lump) with various silicate modules from high-silica rock useful in glass, light, and other industries, and may also be utilized in manufacture of building materials, zeolites, and catalysts. Silicate glass blend including quartz and alkali component is distinguished with that alkali component's being a zeolite production waste (43-46% of total blend weight). The blend is prepared via stirring 0.3-1.3 wt parts of quartz sand with 1 wt part of the above said waste previously evaporated to sodium oxide concentration 100-400 g/l. The blend is then melted in glass- melting furnace wherein temperature is being raised with velocity 5-6 C per min to 1100-1300 C and is maintained at this temperature for further 3-6 h. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process. 3 cl, 1 tbl
