FIELD: production of water glass. SUBSTANCE: method for production of water glass includes mixing of mother liquor - sewage from production of zeolites of type A and X containing sulfur dioxide in the amount of 2.28 g/l, sodium oxide in the amount of 55-98 g/l with finely divided waste of production of crystalline silicon whose particles sizing (0.05-2) •106 m in such a quantity that mole ratio SiO2:Na2O in mixture amounts to 2.6-4.9. Mixture is mixed at the temperature of 80-100 C for 0.5-3.0 h to obtain water glass possessing silica ratio of 2.6-4.9; and density of 1.151-1.286 g/cu. EFFECT: higher quality of water glass with use wastes and sewage of various production processes as raw materials. 1 tbl
