FIELD: nuclear engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves detection of state of constructive members of heat unit, if fault in spacing or intensifying grid is detected, then rim of grid on both sides of weld joint of cells to rim is cut. Produced pieces of rim are bent along weld seam in radial direction. Then it is turned in alternating order in right or left direction at angle no more than 25 degrees with respect to initial position of rim until weld seam is destroyed. Then pieces of grid rim which are separated from grid are removed and quality of repair is tested. Then rim is cut by scissors or argon-arc torch or laser.
