FIELD: chemical engineering; urea production. SUBSTANCE: vapors are cooled in carbamate condenser with U-shaped tube packets with subsequently recycling a part of obtained carbamate solution and recovering condensation heat to produce steam. Recycling stage of a part of solution is conducted inside condenser. Apparatus for vapor condensation contains frame with U-shaped tube packets fastened to the tube plate which is disposed on one of the ends of condenser frame. Distribution chamber is adjacent to the tube plate and is separated with a partition into inlet and outlet zones. There is also ejector to mix recycling solution with a fresh water-enriched carbamate solution disposed in inlet zone of distribution chamber. Steam inlet fitting is connected with a pipeline having its outlet in the peripheral part of the distribution chamber inlet zone. Recycling runback for condensed solution is arranged in distribution chamber in such a manner that its inlet end is disposed in the outlet zone of chamber. EFFECT: improved design. 7 cl, 5 dwg
