FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: product: oily-soluble cobalt salts of acid-C7-C8. Reagent 1: an aqueous solution of acetic acid cobalt salt at concentration 0.4-5.0% (by cobalt) is heated in fractionating column of continuous regime in medium of acids-C7-C8 at 220-270 C at simultaneous distillation off of the formed azeotrope water-acetic acid followed by mixing the obtained melt at 120-160 C with melt containing 6-9% hydrocarbon and dissolving in hydrocarbon. Synthesized compound is used for synthesis of catalysts and as chemical reagent for siccative production. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis. 3 tbl
