FIELD: plastic working of metal. SUBSTANCE: compound die has punch and matrix. Punch has core and holder. Pack of inserts is loosely put onto outer surface of core in holder cavity. Holder has one or several telescopic parts. Lower end of upper insert has diametrical lower projection, subsequent insert is provided with slot for receiving projection and terminating lower insert has cavity with centering facet. This cavity has size corresponding to that of step of predetermined part. Upper insert is rotated relative to subsequent insert by handle. Upper part of holder is provided with annular slot for receiving handle. Matrix has cavity for forming of subsequent steps of part. Upon termination of stamping, parts are removed by gate-type remover and ejector. Side surface of lower insert has gate receiving slot.
