FIELD: waste water purification. SUBSTANCE: method consists in that excessive activated sludge is added to initial waste liquid and resultant mixture is settled. Activated sludge is preliminarily subjected to physico-mechanical treatment to remove from surface layer of microorganism cells fibrillar shells formed by extracellular biopolymers. This operation stimulates cell release of bioflocculants and increase in biocoagulant concentration in waste water. Prior to be settled, waste water-activated sludge mixture is thoroughly agitated to provide adhesion of disperse colloidal and finely disperse particles and formation in waste water well- settling big flocculi of polluting substances. Used for coagulation activated sludge is in its endogenous metabolism phase. This phase is provided by creating microorganism culturing conditions in the process of aerobic biological purification. In turn, it provides successive change of nutrition conditions from excess of nutrient to deep starvation of microorganisms.
