SUBSTANCE: method involves scanning images on image carrier, their conversion to video information signal, conversion of video information signal to encoded picture which is stored to information carrier. Several scanned images are converted to several independently encoded images for each scanned image. Resolutions for image representation in these encoded images are different. Each scanned image is stored to information carrier using encoding. Corresponding devices which search and playback image provide different types for image processing such as zooming in and out, synthesis, rotation and so on.
