FIELD: power plant engineering, measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method is useful for heat power control of start up processing of energy power device which has energy source and heat removal circuit with nonlinear characteristic when first step of heat carrier heating can be out of interest. Method includes information signal forming by one physical parameter of energy power device metering during energy source power stabilizing processing with known heat carrier debit, this metering result checking with respect to restriction set point level and disbalance signal generating as critical warning. For this moment heat power output velocity is depending on it level so stabilizing processing must start at level not exceeding a half of rated power. Information signal is comparing with restriction point value at steady-state regime of heat carrier heating processing when heat removal rate power not exceeds 3 - 8 percents of power setting level.
