FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: when control action increases in accordance with the time program and the error control temperature signal is positive, heating the source is controlled by way of controlling power. When the error signal becomes negative, the temperature of the power source is controlled. The signal is generated if the dead zone exists. Before the control action begins to change, the lower limit of the dead zone is set at the level of maximum error of power measurements corresponding to the permissible power excess of the power source during starting above the level of its power during the temperature control in the end of the heating stage of the power source. When the error signal becomes non-positive, the signal being generated when the controlled temperature achieves the lower limit, the program of increasing the control action stops and a correcting signal is then generated. The lower limit of the dead zone is set at a higher level in response to the correcting signal to provided required static accuracy of the temperature control.
