FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: mineral binder is produced from silica-containing raw material, for instance, from sand which subjected to dry milling and fraction with grains sizing less than 100 mcm is selected. Then loaded into reactor provided with mixer and heater is 20% solution of alkali and selected fraction of sand is placed by portions with continuous stirring and maintaining pH equal to or higher than 11. Then reactor contents are heated up to temperature of 80-100 C and held at these temperatures and pH with continuous stirring to obtain suspension which does not separate into layers for 0.5 h and featuring viscosity of 90-150 s. EFFECT: mineral binder produced by the offered method features good frost resistance and higher strength characteristics.
