FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: nonwoven fabric made up of composite fibers of matrix-fibril type is impregnated with aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol, compressed, and dried prior to be impregnated with polyester urethane which is further coagulated. Finally dried material is treated with vapor and reflux of boiling toluene to remove matrix polymer of composite fibers, and then simulated leather face layer is formed.
