FIELD: bridge building. SUBSTANCE: suspension bridge includes stiffening beam, load bearing cables placed on different sides from the lengthwise axis of the bridge and connected to the stiffening beam through cable suspensions being parallel to bridge face, and inclined to the vertical in bridge cross section at specified angle Φ, two waterside abutments and device for taking loads from brace. Stiffening beam walls are inclined to the vertical at the angle equal to the slope of cable frame suspensions. Upper and lower booms of stiffening beams are made under three options: 1) upper booms are placed in horizontal plane; 2) lower booms are placed in horizontal plane; 3) upper booms are placed in horizontal plane whilst lower booms are perpendicular to stiffening beam walls. EFFECT: higher stiffness. 3 cl, 3 dwg
