FIELD: bridge building. SUBSTANCE: suspension bridge includes stiffening beam, load bearing cables placed on different sides from the bridge lengthwise axis and connected to the stiffening beam by cable suspensions being parallel on the side of bridge face and inclined to the vertical in bridge cross section at a specified angle, two water-side abutments, and device to take loads from pushing apart. Bearing cables together with suspensions form left-hand and right-hand cable frames. Tie cables of the width equal to stiffening beam width, are used to interconnect bearing booms of left-hand and right-hand cable frames in end quarters of bridge flight. As this takes place the suspensions are inclined at constant and specified angle in the end quarters of bridge flight, and vertical in the middle part of suspension flight. EFFECT: higher stiffness. 3 dwg
