FIELD: ammunition for smoothbore guns. SUBSTANCE: wad-container for small-shot cartridges has a casing and an inserted bottom. The casing represents a hollow cylinder separated by transverse partition 1 into the container (2) and shock-absorbing (3) parts. The internal surface of the shock-absorbing part is cone-shaped. The inserted bottom is made in the form of gasket 4 with shell 5. The external surface of the upper part of shell 5 is cone-shaped, and that of the lower part is cylinder-shaped with several for instance eight, uniformly spaced longitudinal ribs of triangle shape connected by annular shoulder 7.
