FIELD: microwave electronic devices, in particular, vacuum O-type devices which electron beam is focused by permanent magnet system. SUBSTANCE: method may be used for assembly of traveling wave tubes and reflection oscillators. Device has magnetic focusing system which has permanent ring magnets and soldered system of pole pieces. Method involves checking size of members of permanent magnet system, checking azimuth symmetry of magnetic fields of separate magnets, checking and choice of magnets according to non-uniformity of their magnetic field. This is achieved by subsequent mounting these magnets into corresponding places in system of pole pieces, calculation of azimuth reference for magnets with respect to this system. Then for several azimuth positions of magnets which differ by rotation angle with respect to system axis, method involves measuring of axial distribution of lateral magnetic field in effective area of each separate magnetic ring. Then results of measuring are used for choice of optimal result distribution of lateral magnetic field along channel axis. Final stage of device assembly involves mounting magnetic rings to azimuth positions which correspond to optimal ones. EFFECT: increased functional capabilities. 5 dwg
