FIELD: rolling mill stand design. SUBSTANCE: aim is to increase service life due to fixation of bearings races. Holder with vertical roll of universal rolling mill stand has split body, roll, radial and thrust bearings located correspondingly in ring-type pits of body, pinion rings - in butt pits of roll neck. Detachable flange is mounted on inner side of body and contacts with outer race of radial bearing and between butt of roll neck and thrust bearing there is plate washer, that contacts inner race of radial bearing in opposite direction to ledges of ring-type pits of body and pinion ring of roll.
