FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Proposed mill stand comprises solid foundation with three face openings arranged in circle, three rolls with bodies to form pass, hollow shafts with rods arranged there inside, rolling bearings, individual roll drives and roll radial drives. Rolls and rolling bearings are fitted on hollow shafts via sleeves, body of each shaft is arranged to move in extra rectangular radial openings of foundation and articulated with radial motion drive made up of two rings with inner cylindrical surface, inclined through inclined slots accommodating slides and outer levers-eyes, ring inner cylindrical surface seat on foundation face cylindrical surfaces to turn about rolling axis, roll every face has recesses to receive detachable temporary flexible semi-rings so that their outer surface extend beyond roll surface by half the gap in pass idle section.
EFFECT: higher rigidity and accuracy of pass.
