FIELD: metal working. SUBSTANCE: boring head with automatically controlled displacement of cutting tool has body 1, faceplate 3 and stepping motor 5 positioned in head body 1. Mounted on faceplate 3 is carriage 4 moving along guides 16 with cages 14 accommodating rollers 13. Opposite ends of cages 14 are provided with pins 17, which enter corresponding grooves in carriage guides 16 and protect rollers 13 from falling out in case of error in mutual displacement of cages 16 and carriage 4 in the course of radial movement of carriage.
