FIELD: pulp-and-paper industry. SUBSTANCE: in order to produce higher-quality paper or cardboard, wood mass is treated with whitening solution containing hydrogen peroxide, sodium silicate, complexing agent, and sodium carbonate. The thus obtained mass is supplemented with aluminium sulfate solution and allowed to stand for 10-20 min. EFFECT: improved quality of product. 1 tbl
