FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroplating and can be used to form composite electrochemical coatings for different purposes. A method of producing a composite coating includes depositing a metal coating from an aqueous electrolyte suspension with ultrafine diamond particles. Deposition is carried out with constant reduction of the spent suspension according to the size of the ultrafine particles through exposure to ultrasonic vibrations by replacing the spent suspension with the reduced suspension every 15-20 minutes through forced circulation between linked baths for electroplating and reducing the electrolyte.
EFFECT: method enables to keep the electrolyte suspension in an operating state for the entire service life of the electrolyte without sedimentation of the particles.
